The business is branded as VITA, an acronym for VAT & Indirect Tax Advisors, and reflects our reach across the UK and our offering into other indirect taxes.
In most cases we are able to offer fixed fees, which are not only based on the time we expect is needed but is also calculated based on the value we deliver. This results in a service driven by adding value, which leads to strong relationships and no hidden surprises for our clients.
VITA values our client relationships first and foremost and we are convinced that, if we get this right, the rest falls into place. We want clients to regard our service as exceptional and reliable. This is achieved through strong and regular communication.
Feedback demonstrates that clients value this approach and it has led to new clients and significant organic growth. Word of mouth and client recommendations are still alive and well, validating our belief that doing the right things in the right way for clients leads to recurring clients, new referrals and ultimately the growth that we pursue.
Resourcing quality staff is one of the greatest challenges for professional services. Despite this, VITA has directly secured an experienced team including multiple CTA qualifications, the Scottish VPG Chair and a member of the ICAS VAT Committee. This has been achieved without the need for recruitment agents, by finding the right people who agree with our culture and values.

VITA specialises in complex VAT and Indirect Tax assignments, including those in relation to land & property, international supplies, and the not-for-profit sector. We provide detailed input to ensure peace of mind and assurance, highlighting questions clients may not have considered.
Traditional
As the business environment races to keep pace with the modern world, we will maintain pace with technology, but we are mindful to maintain the traditional values long associated with the profession – to do the right thing, and be a trusted advisor.
Commercial
The best answer for VAT purposes does not necessarily mean it is the most appropriate advice. VITA has the experience to take a step back and consider the bigger picture and goals of the client. Where necessary we will liaise with other advisors, ensuring that the options for VAT and Indirect Tax advice results in the most beneficial commercial outcome.

Sepsis Research
Each year, VITA nominates a charity or community cause for which the VITA team can fundraise, or volunteer.
For 2025, we pledged our annual support to Sepsis Research FEAT. This involves undertaking a series of charitable events in the next 12 months.

Give Up or Step Up.
In January 2025, three of the VITA team undertook a ‘Step Up Challenge’ to see who can walk the most steps throughout the month. They managed over 700 miles and raised over £1,600 for Sepsis Research FEAT.

Scottish Youth Football
In summer 2024, VITA sponsored a Scottish youth football team who required support to provide kits for its team. It’s VITA’s intention to sponsor one of the club’s year groups in 2025 also.
